Nokia becoming a software company
January 28th, 2008 | by geo |Yet another sign that Nokia is becoming a software company. Fully prepared to compete (and compete very well!) with Google entering the mobile software space.
They agree to purchase Trolltech for $150m.
The point: Nokia is taking its software to other devices and even desktop computers. You will see Nokia software on Non-Nokia devices, just like google. It purchased Twango (social sharing software), Navteq (mapping) and others in the last 24 months. It’s 100% the right strategy.
