Gymboree Peel-A-Prize: Beware of Counterfeit Coupons
Loobalee as Shopping Tips
May|30|2008
Gymboree “Peel-A-Prize” is an in-store promotion running June 4th – June 15th. Coupons are available in the June issue of American Baby magazine, and some people are getting them in the mail (but, I’m not so lucky yet!). Additionally, some stores are reportedly handing them out early with purchases.  These coupons are only good in stores and only for a single use.
There is a lot of discussion on-line about obtaining the peel a prize coupons. Why, you might ask – afterall, they can’t be used until June 4th? Well, the coupons range in value from 20% off your entire purchase to 50% off your entire purchase. It seems there a lot of people highly interested in getting their hands on the 50% off coupons. 50% off an entire Gymboree order can amount to some amazing savings, especially if you purchase items that are on sale.
This is to what we’ve seen in the past where unethical people will try to take advantage of the frenzy, such as with the Gymboree Santa coupons. These coupons are easily reproduced, and counterfeit coupons have been known to be sold over eBay and other auction sites.
Today when I checked, there were 49 auctions for Peel-A-Prize coupons, from 20%, 30%, to 50% off. I actually saw a completed auction for a 50% off coupon. It had 41 bids, and ultimately sold for $141.00!!! Read the rest of this entry »

We’re all for keeping clothes as natural and environmentally friendly as possible, so it’s no surprise that we’re excited about SpeeSees organic cotton kids clothes. SpeeSees is manufactured under Fair Trade Practices and Principles, which means that the garments are produced in an economically and worker friendly environment.
An integral component of Fair Trade is that the local community benefits from manufacturing. The local elementary school in the village where speesees is manufactured is called Zari Pada. They have needs from water hand pumps to small shelves and racks for each classroom. $1 from every $100 earned from online speesees retail orders will go to buy these children various supplies to support a more conducive learning environment.
The clothes themselves are not only helpful to the world, but beautiful in design, too. Check out some of the styles, including this cute Eggplant Dandelion Jumper.

Smartie Britches carries a wonderful selection of young ladies clothes, ranging from more formal Sunday dresses to the perfect school portrait outfit. Their catalog isn’t quite as extensive as some of the other sites we’ve reviewed on this blog, but what they’ve got is quite stunning. For example, this Mocha Swirls Crop Pant Set is just the right thing on a breezy spring day:
This adorable set features a sleeveless, brown cotton flounce top with a white swirl print accented with lime green grosgrain ribbon and bow across the front. The elastic waist pant is done in a chocolate cotton accented with a matching ruffle at the leg. The top can be worn alone or dress it up by adding a feminine blouse (sold separately). This outfit comes with a matching purse and hairbow.
Also, if you’re a children’s clothing store, Smartie Britches also offers wholesale.

I can get behind anything that allows parents and kids to find common ground to connect to one another, and A Life More Interesting does exactly that. The articles here aren’t specifically on kids’ clothes, but the finds they have are great. Read this post about Chic Shops BABY:
Chic Shops BABY is a free guide to great baby shops on the internet where stores don’t pay to be listed, but are chosen simply because they have great products or are remarkable in some way. So it’s not just another one of those guides where every twentieth shop is of great quality, but a guide where all shops are worth checking out.
A Life More Interesting is pretty interesting itself, so don’t hesitate to click over and see what else they have for you and your kids.

May|25|2008
If there had to be two words to sum up daughters, Giggles n’ Curls might just be them. At this creative and clean looking blog, you can find some great resources for girls’ clothing available on the web and beyond. Styles for age ranges from baby to older girls can be found here, and even though there hasn’t been an update in a while, you can still get some great ideas for your little princess. Hear what G n’ C has to say about choosing a first Communion dress:
So Amy chose an Us Angels dress – a short sleeve style in satin and organza. It has that nice illusion neckline that will let her wear the same necklace her mother wore for her First Communion. (I know, I coveted that necklace!) And much to our surprise, she went the old fashioned route and asked for the gloves and veil, too.
Sigh…they grow up so fast. Too fast sometimes. But at least she has the same good taste as her Auntie!
Go browse the archives over at Giggles n’ Curls and you’re bound to find something for your daughter, something that will surely make you both smile.

Pamper Me Baby Gets Pampered With Disney
Loobalee as Around the Web
May|23|2008
Pamper Me Baby is new to me, but I’m glad I came across it. The blog is all about ways you can make your baby feel wonderful no matter what. There are tips and advice as well as loads of links to products and clothes made just for baby’s comfort. Take this Disney sleeper they recently reviewed:
Sometimes its what you wear and the memories that you create that shape a individuals life so why not start young. Pamper your young one in the best that disney has to offer. We are displaying a Pooh blanket sleeper, but there are many more disney brand products that can help put a nice smile on your babies face. I can also say first hand that the disney products are made from some of the best quality materials and they really say Pamper Me when you give your baby some disney gear.
I’m not docking any points for bad grammar here, since the blog has some really great ideas for mom and baby.
