Irene Daviduk of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, June 29,2006 at the Agape Hospice at the age of 79 years.

Irene is survived by her loving family, two sons and daughters-in-law, Murray and Vali and Harvey and Denise; grandchildren Jason, Kayleen, James, Jillian, Cassandra, Christina and Carly; brother Mike (Ruth), sister Sophia (Doral), brother-in-law Peter, sister-in-law Elsie as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and all her loving friends. We miss you Mom. Irene was predeceased by her husband Alex, sister Olga and brother Mark.

Lindsay, Dr. Peter

Dr. Peter Lindsay passed away on June 29, 2006 in Calgary at the age of 72. Peter was born in Brisbane, Australia on June 5, 1934. He came to Canada in 1966 to complete his PhD at the University of Alberta in the Physical Education Faculty. He subsequently became a Professor, Chairman, and Associate Dean within that Faculty until his retirement in 1993. Since then he has divided his time between Australia and Alberta visiting family and friends as well as pursuing his favourite passions, golf and windsurfing.

Peter is survived by his wife Berrice, his seven children, Steven (Meredith), David (Barb), Graeme (Andrea), Bruce, Ian (Pam), Paul (Linda), and Jan (Don), and his twelve grandchildren, Meghan, Mathew, Emma, Kate, Michael, Steven, Jason, Ashley, Allie, Sam, Mary, and Luke.

Peter’s family would like to thank the staff at the Agape Hospice and at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their kindness, excellent care and compassion. A Private Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, July 3, 2006.

Medicine Traveller, Allan David

Allan David Medicine Traveller, beloved husband of Virginia of Siksika Nation went home to our heavenly father on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the age of 77 years.

Dad was a very quiet and simple man. He was a gentle warrior who never bothered anyone and also a man of few words. Dad had a lot of patience, he always greeted and encouraged us with a big smile. Dad was a humble man, a good friend and a good horseman. In his younger years he worked hard and was very dedicated to his family. He also enjoyed working with horses and cattle.

Besides his wife of sixty years Virginia, Allan will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rita, Myrna (Morris), Brenda (Cameron), Letty, Sharon, Donald (Justine), Allan (Jennifer), Gordon (Linda), Gary (Harvina) and Reynold; his traditional adopted children, Ethel and Rosa Medicine Traveller, Monique Water Chief, Ronnie, John and Donna Little Light, Yellow Fly’s, Priscilla Three Sons, Mildred B. Scalplock, Tina Healy, Gwendora Bear Chief, and Fonda Duck Chief. Dad is also survived by his thirty grandchildren and sixty great grandchildren and his first great-great grandchild due in August 2006; his brother Adrian Stimson Sr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Among the family are the Poor Eagles, White Eagles, Maguire/Big Old Man and Black Rider families. Allan will also be remembered by his lifetime friends Jasper Many Heads and Clifford (Rosalyn) Many Guns; and a dear friend Norbert Bear Chief. Dad was predeceased by his sons, Terrold and Emil; his parents, Rita and Emil Medicine Traveller; his grandsons, Kelly and Jason; his son-in-law Malcolm Sitting Eagle; his sisters, Hazel McMaster, Jane Good Eagle; his brothers, Danny, Raymond and Richard (RB) Medicine Traveller; aunties, Annie Maguire, Josephine White Eagle, Emma and Mary Running Rabbit; and his uncle Jack Medicine Traveller. The family would like to apologize if they missed anyone.

Wake Services will be held at the Residence of Virginia Medicine Traveller (Siksika, AB) on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour (Siksika, AB) on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Zaseybida, Ann Karen

Ann Zaseybida, beloved daughter of Len and Jean Zaseybida of Calgary, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the age of 42 years.

Since a very young age, Ann struggled with health problems, but always managed to circumvent setbacks without complaint. She proudly graduated from Western Canada High School in 1982. She found joy every day; her cup of coffee, her special fitness group at the Talisman Centre, lunch with her friends, and caring for her scottie dog, Fiona. Most memorable were her trips with her family to Mexico.

Besides her father Len and mother Jean, Ann will be very, very missed by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Sam and their children, Sara and Zoe Kamis, and Barbara and Jeff and their children, Frances and Alexandra Delaney; and brother, Brian. She is also survived by her grandmother, Nancy Zaseybida; and special aunt, Christine Ropchan, all of Calgary.

Hunter, Robert John

Robert died at home on June 28, 2006 after a long and bravely fought illness. Born on February 9, 1946 in North Battleford SK, he spent his formative years in England before returning to Canada in 1973. He was a loving and much loved husband to his wife Janet; proud father of daughter Natasha Kozak (Wade); and son Stephen Hunter (Shannon); and adoring grandfather of Juliet, Harry, Ryan and Teddy Kozak. He leaves his dear sister Carol Hayes; brother-in-law John; father-in-law Leonard Stubbs; and many other relatives all in England.

Away from his working life in the financial world, Robert enjoyed music, theatre and good food. He was an enthusiastic and skillful home renovator long before it became fashionable and he loved to travel anywhere, anytime.

Jeannette Marguerite Bucht ( nee Nobert – Fauchon) of Calgary passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the age of 76 years.

Jeannette was born on February 26, 1930 in Gravelbourg, SK and came to Calgary in 1953. She loved gardening and dancing at the Legion. Jeannette worked hard raising her family and enjoyed being with her children. She also loved animals, especially her dogs.

Jeannette is survived by her children Priscilla Payne and Glenn Price, of Vancouver, BC, Alan and Beverley Fauchon, and Louise Fauchon, all of Calgary, and Paul Fauchon, of High River, AB; and her siblings, twin sister Jeanne and Julien Piche, of Calgary, Claude and Mildred Nobert, of Penticton, BC, Aline and Norm Piche of Calgary, Henry and Toni, of Regina SK, Dennis and Marie, of Mission, BC, Louis and Annette, of La Flesch, SK and Cecile, of Gravelbourg.

Roberta Victoria Argue, beloved wife of Ken Argue of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the age of 60 years.

Roberta was born on April 29, 1946 in Winnipeg, MB. She met Ken Argue and married him on May 6, 1967. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and she loved to spend many moments with them.

Jordan, Evelyn

In Memorial

Evelyn Jordan passed away on Monday, June 26, 2006 at the age of 97 years.

Evelyn was born in New Aberdeen, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia – she always told us she was born in Glace Bay. She was the eldest daughter of Andrew and Mary Goodwin. Her family moved west and settled in Bellevue, AB and she married George W. Jordan on December 19, 1931. They had four children, Leone, Douglas, Elizabeth, and James. Her son Douglas joined the Air Force and was killed in a car accident in 1955. Evelyn and George moved to Calgary in 1959. In 1981 they celebrated their Golden Anniversary. George passed away in 1990. Evelyn stayed in their home until 1996 and then spent some months with Elizabeth before going to Shawnessy Lodge, the Scottish, and Holy Cross Long Term Care Centre. Evelyn’s great love was for her family, enjoying her six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of the late George Jordan who predeceased her in February 1990; her son Douglas June 1955; son-in-law Gerald February 2000; and sister Muriel Radford September 1988.

Evelyn was the loving mother of Leone (Frank), Elizabeth, and James (Diane); grandmother of six; great-grandmother of seven; and great-great-grandmother of three. She is also survived by her sister Grace Aveledo and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Gathering and Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) today, June 30, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. John Murray Gillett, beloved husband of Noreen Gillett of Calgary, passed away on June 26, 2006 at the age of 76 years.

Murray was born June 29, 1929 in Chatham, ON. He was employed by the Calgary School Board for twenty-eight years. He was a lifetime member of Tuxedo Park Community Association.

Murray will be sadly missed by his wife Noreen; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryle and Doug Butters; granddaughter Carrie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorne and Betty of Calgary and Bev and Gail of Chatham, ON.; one sister, Donna Trembley of Chatham, ON as well as numerous nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. He was predeceased by both parents and brother-in-law Don.
