Thomas “Tam” Patrick Heron, beloved husband of May Heron, of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 following a courageous battle with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) at the age of 61 years.
Thomas was born February 14, 1945 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He married May Robertson on October 3, 1964 in Edinburgh and immigrated to Canada with their family in 1974. Thomas served with the Merchant Navy in Scotland and travelled many parts of the world. He enjoyed his many return visits to Scotland and had just returned from his last visit on August 23. He also enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed being around his grandchildren.
Besides his loving wife May, Tam is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law, Gerrard and Patricia of Calgary, Sean and Sharon of Edinburgh, Scotland and Maria and Cyril Awasis of Thunderchild, SK; eight grandchildren, Nadine, James, Kathleen, Jasmin, Taralynn, Mariah, Michael, and Caleb. Tam is also survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Maria and Podge Bain, and Catherine Brown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alex and Karen Heron and Michael and Fran Heron as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by an infant son Michael; his parents James and Ellen Heron; his brother Gerald Heron and his sister Helen Marshall.

Egidio Marchesan passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the age of 76 years with his family by his side.
Egidio was born on December 30, 1929 in Castello di Godego, Treviso, Italy and immigrated to Calgary in 1954. Together with his brother, they developed and operated their own construction company. When not working Egidio could be found spending time in his garden. He was a gentle man who had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Egidio was calm, affectionate and loving towards his family. He took a special interest in teaching his grandchildren about Italian culture and language. His passion for farm life never left him and this was evident with his trips to Italy , as well as other European countries and California to enjoy the harvest season. Egidio’s greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family, sharing a meal together and recollecting past times.
Egidio leaves behind his wife of forty-three years, Elide; his daughter and son-in-law Adriana and Gerrit Spronken and their children Nicole and Michael; his son and daughter-in-law Renato and Mara and their children Alessia and Mirella; his son and daughter-in-law Frank and Stacey. He also leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters Ermelina, Urbano, Adelina, Gerardo, Gilberto, Tiziano, Ottavio and Albino. Egidio was predeceased by his parents Maria and Angelo Marchesan.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the age of 83 years.
Isobel was born in Brandon, MB on July 5, 1923. She married Ken on October 6, 1951 at the Old Saint Gabriel’s Anglican Church in Calgary. A loving and devoted wife and mother, she always put others before herself and that example, along with inspirational strength and courage, will be an enduring legacy for all who knew her.
Isobel is survived by her loving husband Kenneth; three daughters and a son, Kendyll (Michael Ladouceur) of Hamilton, ON; Barbara (Wes Patton) of Calgary; Marion (Paul English) of Calgary; and son Ian (Lori) of Cambridge, ON.; granddaughter Chrissie Patton; and grandsons, Adam and Matthew Patton of Calgary. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers and her special aunt, Isobel Scriver (aka) “Sibey”.

Eileen Vaudry, of Calgary, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the age of 74 years.

Timothy John Paetkau succumbed to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident which had occurred on July 30.
Tim was born and raised in Calgary, and worked in the sheet metal industry. His family, friends, music and his 1968 Firebird were his strongest passions.
Tim leaves to mourn, the love of his life for twenty-six wonderful years, Teri; the pride and joy of his life, his children, Samantha, Bailey and Keith. He will be dearly missed by his two sisters, Trish (Norm) Palardy and Kat Sharpen. Tim is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Betty and Frank Szautner; his brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends who mourn the loss of a great man. He was predeceased by his Mom, Dorothy Wilson in 2001 and his Dad, John Paetkau in 2004.

Marsha Lynn Aasen (nee McDougall), beloved wife of Darrel Aasen of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the age of 62 years.
Marsha will be lovingly remembered by many for her inspiration to others, endless love, support, gratitude and most of all her laughter. Marsha was never more proud of all her creative sewing accomplishments, such as dance costumes for the students of “Eurythmics Dance Studio”. However, her greatest accomplishment was her three children. She valued spending time with her children especially at Christmas time. She was a very loving grandmother, known to her three grandbabies as “Gammie Toad”.
Besides her loving husband Darrel, Marsha is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kelvin and Karen of St. Albert, AB and Scott of Calgary; a daughter Jodi of Cochrane; three grandchildren, Tristan, Nicklaus and Jacob; and her dog Mandy. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Donnie and Rosalie McDougall; and a sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Ches Bennett.

Edna Mae Addeman of Calgary passed away on Monday August 28, 2006 at the age of 90 years.
Edna was born on February 1, 1916 in Mantario Saskatchewan. She farmed with her husband Jack in Blackie Alberta, and then moved to Calgary in 1959. She had a long career with Betty Shop’s as a manager, and then retired in 1981. Edna was an independent and meticulous person, who enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a devoted mother, and grandmother who loved to care for her family, home, neighbourhood, and community. She was also an active member of the Sunnyside Go Getters for many years.
Edna is remembered by her son Brian, and her granddaughter Samantha, both of Calgary. She is also survived by her brother Alan (Charlotte) Ritchie of Victoria; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Jack (1954); six brothers and two sisters.
