The Birth of Art

Today is Vincent van Gogh’s birthday, and as he is one of my favorite artists, I wanted to drop a coupla gems here that I have run across in my travels over the ‘net in case anyone’s interested:

* The Vincent van Gogh Gallery, endorsed and maintained by the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam NL — this has one of the largest and most complete van Gogh painting lists, including the painting’s origin and where it is now.

* Van Gogh’s Letters — a massive (and searchable) unabridged collection of letters written by the artist, broken down by topic.
