Our chapel comfortably seats 150 people with overflow seating for another 100 people. This allows up to 250 people to comfortably attend a service with everyone being able to hear and see with no obstructions. We are able to divide our chapel in half creating a more intimate space for those families that prefer a smaller area. We discuss the arrangement of furniture and seating with the families we serve prior to a service or visitation so that we offer options to the family and have things arranged the way they desire.
Whether you would like to use the room for a funeral luncheon or as a space for families to gather during visitations, you will find our Community Room accommodates seating for various size groups. This room is also available to the community for other purposes such as speakers, meetings, reunions, or parties. At Roberts Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service we work with local caterer Dan Hietala of Hietala’s Old World Meats (link to hietalasoldworldmeat.com) located at 1107 Highway 97 in Forest Lake. Our building has a separate room dedicated to children. Children are an important part of many families and we feel it is important to include them in the funeral process. This room includes toys, games, and videos to entertain the children. We strive to make our funeral home a comfortable, inviting space for all the families we serve.
We know the importance of personalizing each service at Roberts Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service. That is why we have built our funeral home with modern sound and video equipment. This equipment allows us to personalize services with special music and photo presentations. We include a video tribute (DVD) with approximately 30 photos to a music selection of the families choice to the families we serve that have a traditional funeral. This type of DVD is also available for purchase to those who do not chose a traditional funeral for a nominal fee.
To reach our funeral home from Highway 35 take exit 131 (W Broadway). Go east into Forest Lake approximately 0.7 miles. When you come to the intersection of Lake Street (Highway 61) and W Broadway turn right and head south. In about 6 blocks you will find 6 th Avenue on your right hand side, turn right here and our funeral home will be one block on the right hand side. We are directly across the street from the Forest Lake Post Office and behind Forest Lake Floral and Big Apple Bagel.
