O'Reilly is Hiring

I'm going through some back email and I just found a recruiter sent me a job posting last week that looked oddly familiar. It was for a Software Engineer with Web Services experience in Sebastopol, CA. I'm thinking there's probably only one place where that could be and sure enough it's here on O'Reilly's job page among a few others as well. Nice to see that O'Reilly is expanding again. Hopefully they don't fill up the second building too quickly so there's no more Camp Foos. :-)

I'm mentioning this because Santa Rosa/Sebastopol area would be an awesome place to live and work. It's gorgeous up there. I'm quite happy where I am right now (it took 30 minutes to get to Santa Cruz yesterday - awesome!), but I could easily imagine another life up North of the Golden Gate. I love the Little Yellow House in Menlo Park, but I'm sure after a few years the low-flying airplanes and distant drone of the traffic might get a little annoying. Being out in the California country side would be nice.

Anyways, if you're a developer and like that area, these would be rockin' jobs to have.
