Crossover free for one day

For who does not know Crossover is a commercial fork of Wine, the API that allow the user to run Windows programs under Linux, developed by CodeWeavers.

This offer is due to a lost bet by Codeweavers’ CEO Jeremy White that three months ago offered indeed to give away its software for free for one day if President Bush was able to achieve one of the White’s proposed six “Lame Duck” goals. In specific the goal achieved by the President is to (indirectly) help to lower the price of gas below $2.79 in the city of Minneapolis.

CodeWeavers has set a specific page for the users interested in accepting this free offer. Off course the interest has already been so great that the site is down except for a slim form to enroll for the offer.
