Today, the version 2.6.26 of the Linux’s kernel has been released.
This version has been the result of three months of development by more than 150 kernel developers and still Linus Torvalds wanted to pass through 9 Release Candidate releases before the Gold Release.
Some of the changes included in the kernel 2.6.26 are related to:
PCI Express Active State Power Management; KVM support for IA64 and PPC architectures; basic para-virtualization support for KVM; a UVC web-camera driver; Read-only bind mounts; OLPC support.
