This is a fun list. McCloskey’s books are among my favorites, too. Just the other day we found my dad’s Homer Price by the one and only. You have great taste in books.

Green Eggs and Ham is the only one I know. Books are important things for the young and the old. Have a great TT. :)

ADORABLE picture! :) And I LOVE Caps for Sale! It’s been too long since I’ve read it, and I’m sure my son has never heard it. I think I’ll get it for him for Valentine’s Day. Thanks for posting such a great list.
Happy TT!

I’m definitely keeping these in mind. I just bought my son his first book. He’s only 5 months old but I really want to make sure he learns to read (and love it!) first before latching on to the computer and getting hooked on PC games like his dad! :o )

We’ve read several of those, but not all. I’ll have to look for them somewhere. Maybe Amazon.

Hey, just checked out your blog (funny – it’s the same layout as mine) and I’d love to add you to my favorite bloggers list. We have (and enjoy) most of those books, but my son’s very favorite right now is “Have You Seen My Cat?” by Eric Carle. He brings it in to read to US now!

1, 4, 5, 12 and 13 are all favorites around here – for both my son and my daughter.

Ooh, fantastic list! It’s so important to get our boys reading — and to keep them reading as they get older. That means that Captain Underpants is in your future. If you can get past the horrible bathroom humor, it’s actually quite clever!

Those are all great books and I love the photo.

Another one is Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks and Things that Go. I had it when I was little (still have it, actually) and I loved it even though I’m a girl. Any little boy that’s into cars would like it.

Frog and Toad! Actually, I love all of those. Have you ever read any of The Pigeon books? (Like Don’t let the Pigeon Drive the Bus.) They’re fun. Happy TT!

What a great list! We have quite a few of those. I love Ferdinand the best.

Happy TT.

I know this list is for boys, but have you ever read Miss Suzy? I remember reading it as a young child and absolutely loving it. Boys and girls both would like the storyâ€â€there’s cute squirrels for girls and toy soldiers for boys!
