The Clay and Me

I never realized how much connection I have with the clay. More of how much my emotions are effect throwing clay. This past Thursday, I had wedged 3 balls of clay balls of clay. And they all fell apart when I threw them on the wheel. One actually even lifted my bat. I’ve been in a little bit stressed and a bit sad in a few parts my life in the past week, and just have been doing a lot of reflecting. I was hoping that pottery class would cheer me up. But instead my emotions were translated to my work with the clay. By the end class I was just so frustrated. My mom has always said that I wear my emotions on my face. I guess it does to my craft. What the hell going on. Maybe I need to take on meditation.
