Tragedy of the Past

The Virginia Tech shooting was very tragic. But it seems these massacres seem to be more common these days. This morning, AC asked if I was at uni during the hostage situation. It was over a decade ago, when a guy took over one of the lecture room. I was actually in the Lecture Center (LC) at the time for class. I remember I was wondering why the class was so empty. And being evacuated from the LC through library entrance. Thank god no one was killed. But I didn’t think of calling my family to tell them I was okay. The thought had never occurred to me at the moment. Or the severity of situation at that time just didn’t hit me. But I think it was because I just didn’t want my family to worry. I know it was very silly of me.
