Born July 18, 1910 in Joliet, Illinois, the eldest of 7 children.
She lived in Slovenia, Gary, IN, Phoenix, AZ and finally Corona, CA. Predeceased by her husband of fifty-nine years, Michael Remes and survived by two children; Marianne Chaney of Corona, CA, Albert Remes of Phoenix, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s parish and Altar Society for many years in Phoenix. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, Monday, June 8, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 9, at St. Mary’s Basilica, 231 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix. Interment at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. A Reception will follow at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers you may send a donation to the hospice program CARE ALTERNATIVES, 7344 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92504.

84, passed on May 26, 2009. Aldo was born on March 24, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Peggy, his sister Lena Cleva and his parents Lazaro and Katherine Romanin. He is survived by his children and their spouses Harry Lisa, John Karen, Rob Angela, Amy Zrike Ken, his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Aldo was a B-17 pilot at the age of 19 years and flew in WWII. He was stationed in England and was part of the 306th Bomber Group. He then went on to study at Geneva College and Carnegie Tech University in Pittsburgh graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. He then moved to California and began working for Air Research Garrett, Allied Signal, Honeywell and was a designer of gas turbine engines. Aldo was a major contributor to the development of the 2-bearing 85 auxiliary power unit turbine used by the Boeing Corporation; a very successful engine for the company. He also was the senior project engineer for the T76 engine, a major breakthrough project. He will be deeply missed by his family who loved him so very much. Graveside Service with Honors will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road on June 12th at 9:30 am and a Memorial Service Saturday, June 13 at 1:00 pm, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting a donation to Hospice of Arizona, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, 85014.

It was in Freehold, where she cherished her childhood days with her brothers and sisters. She graduated from high school and Ryder College, before moving to Arizona. It was here, in AZ, she met her loving husband, Donald Pinnick whom preceded her in death. Their love brought six children, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren into the world. 47, of Phoenix, died early Monday, May 19, 2009. Steve was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on September 9, 1961 but lived most of his life in Phoenix. Steve is a graduate of NAU in Flagstaff with a degree in mechanical engineering and has spent his career with several major companies including General Dynamics, Allied Signal, Mobility, Honeywell and most recently as an engineering consultant. Steve was an avid outdoorsman and loved hiking and fishing trips to the Black River, Christopher Creek and the back woods and lakes of Arizona. His greatest pride and joy was being with his children and supporting them in all of their activities. After his battle with leukemia he had an even greater zest for life and cherished every day he had with his children and family. Steve is survived by his three children Christopher, Matthew and Allison. Also surviving are his mother, Helen Isenman Dumas of Phoenix, father and stepmother, Sam and Charles Dumas of Prescott, three brothers, Eric Kristin of Seattle, WA, Paul Judi of Flagstaff and Peter Penny of Gilbert, AZ.
