Your blog after life

What happens to your blog after you die? I know, it’s a morbid thought but it is inevitable. You pass away and the people that did visit your site just think, “He must have just stopped posting.”

That’s where Next Of Kin comes into play. This WordPress plugin will count the time from when you last visited your blog. If a predetermined number of weeks pass without a visit, you are sent a warning email. You can reset the counter if you receive the message otherwise another message will go out after the second predetermined number of weeks passes. Once the third number of weeks passes, you’re assumed to be dead so the final message goes out to your intended recipients. The idea behind the final message is that you send someone your blog login info so that they can maintain your digital memorial. Or just post that you’re dead, either one works.

Once the plugin is uploaded and activated, go to Options -> Next Of Kin and enable the plugin. The settings have easy to understand descriptions so configuring it is simple

So who are you entrusting with your blog once you pass?

No one can confidently say that he will still be living tomorrow. - Euripides

Jesus.
Nah, he doesn’t need this plugin. He always arises the third day so it’s within the one week minimum. :)
